Belo-Horizonte is the capital of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. There are approximately 3 million people living in Belo-Horizonte. Currently there are 12 congregations spread throughout the city. There are approxamently 1300 members of the church in the city of Belo-Horizonte.
The missionary that we are supporting is Ricardo Maia. He has been serving the Lord in the mission field in Brazil since 1994. He has his Bachelor of Arts degree from Harding University and he majored in Bible and Psychology with a minor in Greek. At the present time he works with the Alipio de Melo Church of Christ. He also is the director of the Pines Retreat Youth Camp which is located just outside of Helo-Horizonte.
